IT IS NOT ACCURATE AND CLEAR where the blade will cut

I really wanted to love this "thing" but I'm going to go back to the steel ruler to mark and cut against the steel ruler with an olfa blade. This thing is NOT entirely accurate, and I have to "guess" where to put the paper to get the measurements I need, wasted paper and a few sheets of expensive cardboard. For example, pull your hand up to measure the top. I wanted a basic 6" cut, so I adjusted it to 6" and ended up with 5-7/8". I have no idea, where the blade will fall to set it. Next I want 5-7/8. "We measure, cut out and get 5-1/2". Ok, 6" the desired measurement is 1/8" off, and the other required 5-7/8" is 3/8" off. Finally I want to cut 5.5" off and put on 5.5" - the result is 5.75" (14.2cm).(If it was the same amount every time it could be adjusted accordingly, but other than that NADA. Luckily that wasn't expensive but is only used for the small cut I make that doesn't require that much precision .I thought I would like the hand to give measurements for "accuracy" meaning more length to make sure the shaft is straight but without measuring precision OR even a mark to show where the blade is, to know, where it will cut I could mark the shank and align the mark with the line of the blade... There is an indentation where the blade goes but who knows if it goes left, right or centered? I AM NOT COMPLETELY IMPRESSED! Again, I can cut more accurately with a marker, steel ruler, and Olfa blade! My cheap little dollar store cutter that requires you to mark where you want to cut at least shows a mark on the board where the blade will be. If you don't need precision that's fine, but when I buy a tool with dimensions I expect it to be accurate! Also I don't think the blade will hold as having to slide back and forth more than once to get a cut doesn't seem very sharp, to even start with a NEW item. I like that the blade hides when not pressed for safety. I'm generous with a 2** for what it does, but it's inaccurate and there's no marking to know where the blade will cut to line up the marking. made on paper. . . . at least shows a mark on the board where the blade will be.
