They added the bright colors I was looking for to complete the look of my aquarium. They also hide my filter and heater. I really like these! None of my fish were harmed by these plants. They seem soft enough that my beta loves playing with them, as do my African dwarf frogs. The plants sit at a height of 13 inches in my tank (the space between the top of the gravel and the top of the water) and this is how they look in such a large space. They are weighted and sit well on the bottom and are very easy to take out for cleaning and put back in the aquarium. The only thing that would make them more perfect would be a more natural shade of green for the leaves, but I've found that almost all artificial aquarium plants come off Neon plastic looks green (not sure why), but I hid the artificial green parts by putting real plants in front of them.
