Installed these on my 2004 4Runner to reduce rear sag when towing my trailer. Just got back from my first trip and WOW! Doesn't matter! They eliminate about 1 1/2 inches of sag in the rear and now the ride level of the truck and trailer. I no longer have trouble detaching the jockey wheel from my trailer and there is also significantly more clearance when towing over bumps. In addition, the handling on all surfaces is greatly improved, especially on rough roads, there is much less juddering and swaying at high speed, everything feels much better and this makes long-distance driving less tiring. I also feel that the handling has improved. Even when not towed or loaded, the truck stays flatter and feels better in tight corners. However, the ride is much more stable on rough roads, even then I find the overall dynamics preferable. I considered airbags, but they were much easier to install (if you can change a tire, you can install them) and they require no adjustment or maintenance.
