Review on 🎧 Sony WH-1000XM4 Wireless Noise Canceling Headphones (Black) with Knox Gear USB Hub and Bluetooth Adapter - Work from Home Bundle by Tim Larsen

I used and preferred the Sony 7506 corded phones as my base when I was working for commercial radio in the late 90's and still use them to this day. My home system includes 7-channel 1100W Vienna Acoustics Beethoven Baby Grand speakers from B&K. Putting this Sony WH-1000 on and playing my favorite reference CD made the hair on my arms stand on end. Connection cable 3.5 mm (like mine)! I learned the hard way with an unnamed 3.5mm stereo jack that not all cables will work properly with it. Now that I've bought a Sony branded replacement (and $18 lighter on my wallet). I think the problem might be the diameter of the plugs. Sony's grounding rod (closest to the cable) is a few hundredths of an inch taller than the regular no-name rod. With a regular cable the audio was intermittent, low even with the amp on and sounded TERRIBLE. With the Sony cable, the 1000 XM-4 phones sound great when connected to non-Bluetooth sources.
