Perfect Compression Shorts

Okay, that might be a bold statement, but I'm really pleased with the extra protection they offer our son. Our son plays basketball at his school, AAU, and at local parks and recreation centers. To be honest, our son is failing. Knees, elbows, whatever. But the extra padded compression pants and shorts offer more protection - I figured at least his hips would be protected when he was diving for the ball - his knees when he was wearing a full length pair. And with that I justify the additional price associated with such clothing. It's a bit more expensive than some of the other clothes we've bought, but I love the honeycomb padding. It's much easier to move when our son (his words) is playing. They have the same moisture wicking material as many other UA pieces - I found it to wash very well (we use a sports detergent to care for the material and frankly to get rid of odors!) and to dry very quickly. I don't put them in the dryer, but they dry on the dryer in an hour or two. Our son wore them during HS games and was surprised at how comfortable they are. Sometimes it seems that the filling annoys him, slips on his knees, etc., but so far there are no complaints about this. Overall, despite the higher price (we have other pairs 40-50% cheaper), I would recommend them if you are a more physical player and want extra protection.
