Cable assembly with integrated USB-A port and separate cigarette lighter adapter offers much more installation flexibility than a standard cable assembly with integrated cigarette lighter adapter. Many new cars and trucks come with USB ports, which can be cheaper and easier to use than a cigarette lighter. I also found it a lot easier to route this cable with a much smaller USB connector. I believe this cable assembly should become the "standard" that comes with their dash cams.
