I wanted to make it easier for me to remove the Leofoto L-Bracket and Peak Design Lock Plate on-site without losing the Allen key that goes with the included screws fits both initially. To do this, I tried removing the tripod screws from some of the Arca-Swiss plates, but there wasn't enough clearance between the threads and the head to be able to move them along the screw tracks. These 1/4" tripod screws solved that problem so I can now remove them in the field without tools. The heads are also low enough in profile to not interfere with the mounting of the panels onto the clamps. Time will tell how durable they are. are.
