I FINALLY upgraded my Silhouette 2 to this 4 after 6 years and resisted it due to mixed reviews. Now I'm wondering why I didn't do this sooner?! I LOVE my new Silhouette Cameo 4!CON:1. So far my *only* downside has been that if my vinyl isn't quite flat on the plastic mat when I cut it, it will leave cuts when the blade slides across it, even if I don't intend to cut that area. As someone who uses mats, I have to make sure that they are still glued even after the adhesive backing is gone. I didn't have this problem with my 2.2. There's more nuance and things to play around with and remember, but that's because it has more options. I had to look on youtube to find out many features and what needs to be adjusted to what used to be. PROS: 1. It's worlds faster than my old one 2. It's also much better at cutting parts! I use my silhouette most often to make glass etch stencils and my drawings are often small and detailed. I'm not thrilled with his abilities! 2. I like the automatic blade adjustment. All I have to do is adjust the settings in the software.3. I tried cutting 651 vinyl without a mat and it worked with no problems! Be sure to read the instructions on how to adjust the rollers4. I love that it has a vinyl roll holder! I also make signs and have a large wedding order coming up. This will make things a lot easier and smoother! Tried to print and cut stickers for the first time! I LOVE HIM SO SO MUCH! I was intimidated by this and sometimes heard it was tricky, but I cut out 20 stickers and it's still no problem.6. i love black It's so smooth! Honestly, this machine has changed the way my small business grows!
