Thanks for the tip on rinsing the filter socks before use. I didn't know about it and my protein skimmer went crazy and bubbled for days. Now I understand why it is important to rinse the socks well before use. I have been successfully breeding freshwater fish for 20 years and am now switching to saltwater.
