These are perfect if you have a mini USB device that often needs a new cable. If you have soldering skills they can be quickly reassembled/replaced and taking them apart might even mean they can be repaired instead of replacing the mini USB connector. They're fine on their own, but add some shrink tubing around the metal and you've got a well-made cable.
