Clear Edged Cube Excellence

Quality: 10/10Beauty: 10/10Price: 8/10Auspdice have made high quality translucent dice with sharp edges and metal scales that are really pretty to look at. The bones come in a faux snakeskin box, which is surprisingly high quality for a mailer box; I would normally take my set and put them in a small bag for use in board games, but the box looks good enough and I intend to keep the dice as is. For a giveaway, this was an unexpected bonus. The Dark Galaxy I bought have distinct green metallic flakes inside the smoky gray case which, when I look at it, looks like a microcosm in the palm of my hand. If you hold it up to the light you can see straight through, but the scales produce amazing refractions when the light shines on them. As a side benefit of the incredible transparency, you only get resin and metal flakes, which are inherently lightweight. This means that the dice have less momentum when thrown and stop faster. Depending on what/where you play, this can be an advantage. Just note that light bones tend to bounce a little more. A set of dice comes with a standard set; 1d4, 1d6, 1d8, 2d10, 1d12 and 1d20. But you should note that d4 has a number on top, unlike some sets that have a number on the base, and 2 d10 uses the numbers 0 through 9 and 00 through 90 to represent percentages (or drop out of 100 ). ). Also, hard-edged dice are ejected much less than rounded-edged dice, which is both good and bad. Statistically, your dice are less likely to be truly random, since how you roll the dice can determine how many "throws" they make before they stop. This is why you see casinos that only use rounded d6s. I personally like it because I play at small tables, don't use a dice tower, and prefer to roll the dice sharply so that it feels comfortable with the dice staying in place rather than rolling over the edge. WARNING: These bones are REALLY sharp and will literally cut you if you step on them. I was already stunned when I rolled a d6 at the edge of the table and slapped the dice down to keep them from rolling. I learned my lesson when I got stabbed. Also, d4 is a damn caltrop, how cool is that?
