These hats are very soft. I washed them when I first got them because I wash everything first but they didn't have much smell which is good. They are super thick and warm, although maybe a bit too thick. I have issues with these two layer hats not breathing well and this one has the same issue but it's not that bad so I still wear them. head is smaller. You look pretty good. 4 for $15 - great deal!
