As others have pointed out, this is not a "huge" slinky. Its diameter is about the same as what I spent a few hours with in the 1960s, but the fewer coils make it harder to get down the stairs. If you want proof, just watch the manufacturer's video - it doesn't include the part showing it going down more than one notch. If he could do the whole staircase like the original, you know damn well they'd show it. Disappointed but no longer surprised.
