Review on LOccitane Shaving Enriched Essential Butter by Patty Yenbamroong

I have been using L'Occitane CADE shaving cream for many years. The old 'RICH' version, which came in a jar, fitted the bill perfectly - excellent scent, very good performance and overall shaving pleasure. The old whistle version lagged behind the RICH but still retained great flavor and decent performance. I liked the old pipe so much that I bought it again. (I also bought an old can.) Unfortunately, the current (tube) version is missing. The smell is unpleasant at best and weak compared to the excellent aromas of its predecessors. Performance is reasonable, but certainly not outstanding. So why pay the high price that L'Occitane is charging? Don't let the name L'Occitane fool you. For this particular L'Occitane product there are many alternatives - all much cheaper - with much better smell and potency. By no means do you expect the current product to smell and work the same as previous versions. Think twice before paying the price.
