Review on Scratching Indoor YOUMI Scratcher Natural by Maria Botello

It says it's small only 20.5 inches, 5 inches is mostly in the base but I've had scratching posts so small before that my older cat kinda liked it, so i decided to try it, and even for her it's too small. She has a throat condition that leaves her unable to eat much and has lost weight over the years, now she only weighs about 7 or 8 pounds and she's quite shy, she doesn't like to jump on things but she does it. likes to scratch every once in a while, she hasn't shown any interest in it and honestly she's so small with the base that she can't lay on it and scratch the pole, which she enjoys doing, so I'll probably finish. Donating it to my local animal welfare organization because yes it's small and it was rated before buying but it just doesn't feel particularly strong and my low energy cat doesn't like it and it's too small and not strong enough for my energetic 18 year old Pound red tabby monster running at full speed and grappling with him and they will both fly. This is a great scratching post for cats, but I wouldn't recommend it. for adult cats, especially when they're full of energy, and frankly when you're shopping. If kittens can use a larger scratching post as the scratching post they will eventually grow into, a kitten is unlikely to wear a normal-sized scratching post. Whatever it is, this product is good, but I'm not sure I'd recommend it for anything other than the more niche kitten phase, which, as I said, doesn't last very long and it's wiser, upfront to plan.
