Review on 🍲 Cambro 2-Quart Round Food Storage Container Set of 3 with Lid by Isabella Baez

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Professional quality plastic cups

Update 2019: Have been using them consistently for almost 6 years, they still work, look like new and I've bought more different sizes for homemade yoghurt and just general use. Also, after an ant infestation, we found that the tiny critters didn't appear to smell sugar stored in a 2-liter Cambro, but they could smell honey and golden syrup in their plastic wrapper. Cambro makes the BEST plastic containers! ---------- November 2014: Made for the foodservice industry, these are the only plastic containers I use for long-term food storage (I used to just keep them in a jar). . I use both 6 liter and 2 liter sizes for mixing and pantry/fridge storage. I also make bread dough for the week, though NOT the wet dough popular of the moment, and keep it in the fridge for off daily amounts. Since the lids are tight, I balance the lid on top without snapping it shut for bread dough in the fridge (yeast smokes); A friend made several nail holes in her plate so she could securely close the lid. For storing decanted flours, beans, etc. in the pantry, the lids fit snug enough that items are well protected and don't get caught. "Plastic" taste/smell. I suspect this is due to the high quality of the plastic Cambro uses. The 2-qt is particularly handy in the flour chamber: it holds flour well, the units stack well, and the hopper mouths are wide enough for scooping without a mess. Overall a fine piece and the cheapest to buy in the sets offered by Revain (set of 2 6-qt, set of 3 2-qt).
