I bought 2 of these chargers from this company mainly because I found them affordable. If you're using a Surface 1 Pro connected to an external mouse and keyboard, the charger is great for charging. However, when you are connected to a network and try to use the touchscreen, 90% of the time each touch is registered as multiple touches or very imprecisely. For example, attempting to type this synopsis while connected to the Internet would result in the wrong letters being "pressed" on the on-screen keyboard, or often accidentally closing the keyboard, since touching the letter is actually a click from the keyboard registered and thus closed. . You'll recognize this by the gray circles that flash when you touch the screen surface to indicate where your touch is being registered - you'll often see a few circles that appear randomly when you're touching the screen with just one finger. A quick Google search revealed that this unstable touchscreen behavior is due to the charger not being properly grounded and therefore interfering with the touchscreen's electrostatic mechanism. This has never been a problem with Microsoft's original Surface Pro charger or OEM chargers with 3-pin connectors (the extra pin grounds the charger). The original Microsoft charger had 2 pins but the charging box had to ground the charge as it never had this problem. I assume that this manufacturer missed this feature for this version with the two-pin charger. Unfortunately I had to turn off my Surface to write this review as touchscreen operation is not possible due to accidental touches due to this charger. I would recommend that you find a three-prong Surface Pro 1 charger to ensure proper grounding.
