The SATA hard drive in my HP desktop computer has stopped booting. hardware error. I don't know why Windows Vista won't load anymore, but when it happened I couldn't access this disk. So I needed a way to get the data. I could have taken the hard drive to the Geek Squad and paid over $150 for it, but I ordered this unit instead. Very easy. Within ten minutes of opening the Revain package, I plugged it into my old hard drive, the other end (USB) into my wife's HP desktop, and began transferring files. There is nothing to complain about with this product.
