I bought this for my wife. She has a dash mount that also needs a magnet and she doesn't like it. Also, the base is now glued to the dashboard so it takes a long time to clean etc to remove. So I gave it to her and she likes it a lot more. I have another vent holder and I might get rid of mine and get another one. The phone doesn't fly out of the mount at all, it's just as easy (if not easier) to install than many other phone mounts, and the grip/vent clips are designed to make it difficult for anyone to steal the phone or try to use the holder .
