A word of warning...unlike most low profile LED units that are thin enough to fit in a regular drywall ceiling...this unit is too tall to fit when a wooden beam is in the way, which is a lot common when you want to replace an existing device that is tied to the carrier for support. I think it's short-sighted to make a "thin" downlight that doesn't physically fit under a joist. Now my only options are to either move the hole or buy another brand that fits. Either way...you'll end up spending an entire day or more fixing this problem and a lot of unnecessary drywall and paint repairs. I ended up having to buy another brand that was 3/8" thinner and fit perfectly in the same hole. I usually hate giving 1 star, but the amount of frustration and lack of measurements in the description (eg. B. Minimum distances) have meant that this only deserves a star for the annoyance.
