Review on Massdrop x Koss Porta Pro X On-Ear Headphones: 🎧 Noise-Cancelling Mic, Voice Assistant, Track Skip | Collapsible Midnight Blue by Ognian Karagaev ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I am one hundred percent satisfied with the purchase, I recommend this product to everyone.

I just bought it, so I can't evaluate the build quality. I chose two versions for myself after reading several reviews: Sennheiser PX 100 and, in actuality, KOSS Sporta Pro. According to what I gather, the Kosses lose some individuality of sound in favor of superb basses (some have described their sound as poppy and pre-decorated). Senhs, on the other hand, have a smoother and cleaner sound (some people describe it as being cold and dead). Evidently, everyone agreed that Koss is the best option for listeners of bass-heavy music. I initially made a decision in favor of the Senhs: I listened to various types of music and reasoned that a smooth sound would be more resonant with me. I quickly changed my mind, though, when I learned that they were 400 more expensive than Kossov. I have to admit that these are my first set of generally good ears, so I have nothing to compare them to. But even so, I adore the sound they produce. I want to give the following advice to all inexperienced listeners who are on the fence about getting these headphones: if Kosses are the cheaper, the same price, or slightly more expensive option among those you are considering, and their sound does not damage your ears compared to others (although, personally, I focused only on the price and did not listen to anything for comparison), then get them - you won't regret it. They are a well-known model that has been manufactured for more than 20 years. Defame them, improve the listening experience for attentive listeners). In any case, they will eventually break. You will have gained experience by then and know what you need. In my case, I'll be buying my mother Senheisers in a month (because the scholarship will be transferred). If the sound in them is closer to my liking, I'll wear them and give Kossy to my mum.

Pros
  • nice sound overall, renowned Coss Sports Provskie basses, compactness, and original design (someone will look ancient, in my opinion - this is a timeless classic)
Cons
  • poor ergonomics
