I bought this for my puppy. it is not for a large dog, maybe a chihuahua mix breed size. it was easy for my dog to climb on top and when it does it flattens out but luckily retrained her not to do that. It never lost its shape though. i washed it with no problems. the only thing was the squared cushion's filling did get folded and distorted but i was able to easily put it back into place with no issue. i dont put it in the dryer at all. i like that you can unzip the top to let it breathe and then zip it back up easily.
