I bought this for my 2006 Chrysler Pacifica. There is enough space between the visors on this car so that they can be folded in completely by hitting the mirrors. This would definitely not be the case for small vehicles. Although I was a bit concerned that the mirror would vibrate more than the standard mirror, I didn't notice any significant difference from the center section. The side panels tend to vibrate slightly. I think it's inevitable with hinges that allow small side mirrors to tilt. Installation was a breeze, literally taking less than ten seconds to snap into place with a standard mirror. At first I was wondering how much more visibility a mirror gives. Partly due to the car's design, it seemed to me that it only enhanced what I could see inside the car, rather than improving visibility in blind spots. I played a lot with the tilt of the side mirrors. I found angled mirrors quite confusing, and while it was possible to rotate the left mirror to get a clear view out the driver's window, it didn't help much with the blind spot. primary mirror. I found that watching my head smash in half and hurtle past the curb took away the disorientation. Also, it gives me a really good view of the blind spot by moving my head left and right a bit. It's actually a really natural movement when viewed from behind, so it doesn't seem to defeat the purpose. In terms of aesthetics, the only black elements on the mirror, despite the word "black" in the product name, are the clips that hold it in place. As others have pointed out, the back of the mirror is clear plastic and that doesn't add much to the car's appeal. If looks are important to you, you should probably look elsewhere. In my case, I just want to bring a little more security to the family station wagon, I don't go to any car shows. Conclusion: A well thought-out product. It feels like quality construction and the mirror is crystal clear. Images are not distorted as much as with concave panoramas, but the cars behind you appear farther away than with the stock mirror. Maybe it's just a perspective trick when you can see so much interior space around the rear window. In general, I don't see much value in adjusting small side mirrors. I'd rather have a 370mm full flat mirror than a 270mm mirror with two 50mm side mirrors. That's the only reason I gave it four stars instead of five. The possibility of the side mirrors being knocked out of alignment and needing adjustment is actually a disadvantage. The seams on the mirror add a few centimeters to the overall length. So if you have very little space, take that into account.
