Review on πŸš— 12-Foot Clear U-Shaped Car Door Edge Guard Trim for Enhanced Protection by Bruce Cavett

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Discolors easily, won't stay in place and leaves sticky slime!

I installed this on my BMW. One roll was enough to cover 4 doors and part of the trunk. Installation was relatively labor intensive. The material is very hard and difficult to insert in the right place. You really should leave it in the bright sun to soften it up a bit. If the edge of your door isn't a straight line (not mine, there are two "creases") then the edge protector won't stay in place. She kept showing up. the bottom sections, leaving the material only in the middle long straight section of the doors. That's when I discovered the big hidden secret - it has a little pocket that contains some kind of transparent glue. This material leaves a big mess and it's very hard it took a long time to remove the paint. it took a long time to remove them - I hope the paint is permanently damaged. In addition, this sticky, sticky substance discolors. After a few weeks it is now a white blotchy discoloration looks very ugly. I'm afraid to remove this stuff because this slime has eaten away the paint on the edges of the doors and can remove the paint completely. What a mistake! I may have been billed thousands of dollars for paint damage to my car. Stay away from this product.
