Review on OsoCozy Indian Cotton Prefolds: Soft and Absorbent Baby Diapers with Diaper Service Quality by Rachel Lopez

Compare long size and GDM

I have now bought 3 sets of these prefolds. I really like her. I have a 17 month old boy who at around 12-13 months started urinating more than his GMD Small Size (with yellow trim) which was folded backwards. I mainly use Alva and Mama Koala pocket diapers and sometimes pocket diapers. I was thinking of a dozen plus size GDM Cloth-eez but they cost me about $41 + $4.95 shipping. And I have a baby, so I kept putting off ordering from their website. I ordered them and was surprised at how big they are. After some research I found out that this size is considered "traditional long". As you would see in a Gerber diaper. This gives you an extra 6 inches on the GDM Smalls, but doesn't add width. I take an extra 6 inches about 1/3 the length of the diaper and fold it before folding it in three. Then I put it in a suitcase or stuff it in my pocket. It gives me so much absorbency in the front where I need it, but it doesn't add bulk to my buttocks. If I went to the big (brown) GDM I would have 2 inches more width and only 4 inches length. Good when trying to swaddle and pin a larger baby, but not as a pocket insert. - Thickness and Weave: A premium size Blue Edge at this length gives you a 4x8x4 thickness identical to GDM with identical weave. I also consider cotton to be on par, although GDM has a slightly coarser yarn with slightly less pile - Origin: Both are made in Pakistan, where tons of the world's cotton is woven - BetterFit: OsoCozy makes a BetterFit version of this prepleat, which does without the extra length more like GDM fits. The Premium in Better Fit has a red trim and is almost identical in size and price to the GDM Small in yellow. 4x6 or 4x8?: I also bought the standard size White Edge 4x6x4 of the traditional long OsoCozy, thinking the 4x8x4 premiums would be too thick when folded. I think both work well and I'm getting a premium over the regular ones as they are more substantial and thicker. - I get so much information from reviews when I review cloth diapers. So if this helped you, please mark it as helpful!
