plug and play I use it as a "big" monitor when using my laptop at home. It's nothing at all. It comes with a stand but can also be wall mounted. Power cord and VGA cable in box. If you are a Mac user, you need a VGA adapter to get to any type of output you have on your Mac laptop. The monitor also has a DVI connector, but this cable is not included. I have no problems with the picture quality at all.
