My laptop has a crack in the case where I opened it with my right hand for a year. It's a heavy lid and I wasn't paying attention to the stress my habits put on the left side of the lid, so I was looking for a good lid that would support the entire laptop screen/lid without obscuring my view or camera . This case makes it possible. First of all it's nice and fits snugly around the entire lid with tight ties at the bottom to keep the pressure even when I open my computer. It doesn't interfere with any of the pets of the charger, HDMI, etc. and doesn't add weight to the computer, which helps. This is exactly what I was looking for.
