Carpets are cool, hands not so much.
Matte is cool. Helps protect my workspace from accidental drops of solder. Helping hands leave a lot to be desired. The metal plates aren't strong enough to tighten the ball joints to hold things in place. I'll try hardening her to see if that helps. Anything heavier than a few quarters and they'll fall.
