Benefits:a. They are very comfortable - like soft elastic socks with a soft lining. Glad I ordered a size smaller than usual because they are strrrrretch.b. You look good too. They can be worn inside like slippers. They're also great if you just want to hide your legs in something. They are super light. The midsole is just a single piece of molded foam. No heavy wearing course at all (ominous music - see below) d. They are cheap. At least as it is today. The Bad: 1. They're so stretchy that they don't offer any significant support.2. As soft as they feel on the inside, you can feel every stone through the soles. It is strange that they are soft and at the same time sensitive to bumps in the road.3. Without a wear layer, the outsole wears out FAST. In a few days of my daily 5k walks (albeit on bad and hilly roads) the outsole pattern under the ball of the foot was almost erased. I stopped wearing them outside because I didn't want them puncturing the floor (#2 above) or completely wiping through to walk home in my socks. they should be more durable. These are thin slippers. Definitely not a supportive, durable running/hiking shoe.
