the pointed end of the knife looks nice and appears to be useful but is actually quite a nuisance - it makes it difficult for you to scoop out cream cheese or peanut butter etc. A BUTTER knife's job is it to cut butter. But these knives just slip everywhere when used on chilled butter. The spoons are fairly strong but malleable. If I really wanted to bend it with my bare hands, I could, let alone a sundae. Fingerprints on them are also quite difficult to see due to the reflective surface. Washes up great in the dishwasher! And really decent cutlery, despite my criticism. Can't comment on longevity as I only had it one day. For me it just depends on how long you want them to last. They're perfectly fine temporarily, but as I wanted a set that I'll enjoy for 10+ years I'm not too happy.
