So that was great! They were light and felt like they were made for my feet. I never had to "put them on" - and it was amazing. The support for my legs was just what I needed. They are covered with a smooth plastic coating. Therefore, the laces could not withstand the friction and were easy to untie no matter how tightly you tied them or how many knots you used. But it's easy to fix. Buying new laces is easy. To a question I can't solve. Inside the shoe itself is some sort of plastic lining. It is used on the back (where the Achilles tendon is located). Within 3 weeks of purchase I could feel something clicking in my shoe with every step. Upon inspection, I finally found that the entire back of my shoe has an uneven tear in the material inside my shoe (hard to explain). The click was up and down, moving back and forth along the crack, grabbing and causing a click I could feel. Tear in both shoes. And we can't fix it. Luckily he has yet to pierce the material himself or poke my leg (which I'm still in shock about). I never wore these shoes - they were too new to wear - so I didn't break my heel that way. So I can only guess that they used bad material indoors that would never stand up to everyday use. I hope they improve - I love them beyond that.
