The design of the clasp/buckle system is very cool and the fact that it closes tight is just great. Much better than straps that adjust by adjusting tension through friction alone. This clamps a nylon strap and does not slip at all. A NOTICE. Some people seem to think that they need to cut off the tapered end of the belt and then reshape it to get the right length. NO! The end attached to the buckle system can be released by opening the buckle clip at the point where the "beginning" of the belt enters. It's not obvious, but if you look at the included instructions (which cover several belt styles) you'll find an illustration that fits this system. open) STRAIGHT end to fit your waist.
