Hi folks! Just wanted to confirm this with other members who have purchased these for VQ Motors and/or Infiniti Rides. Having said that, I own a 2004 Stage 2 Long Block G35 coupe and let me be the first to confirm that they don't pre-gape properly. In other words, when I received them, I received a set (4) in a small box and a set (2) in (2) separate boxes. Mind you, I've seen some additional info on the subject of "pre-release" in other threads, and of course other contributors and car enthusiasts have said that they didn't pre-release everything properly. For example, from set (4), two of them were precorrected to 0.44 while others were in the range 0.55-0.61. Remember when I tested the individual spark plugs that came out of the box they were pre-bladed to .57-.63 which is a big no when you understand how spark plugs work on our VQs. After that has been said. , and since I'm mechanically inclined, I solved the problem by pressing "oh, so easy on the spark plug ring" - that's over the electrode; and then reconnect them with a pre-gap tool. And boom! You probably decide. Again, they are not properly spaced; If you simply install them without due care, you're likely to have misfires, stutters, or power curve stripe issues - while driving. Please.
