Review on Enhanced Performance: TIMBUK2 Especial Stash Weatherproof Messenger Bag Unveiled by Matt Jenkins

Revainrating 5 out of 5

NO messenger bag. Maybe a decent SLING bag

Testing the TIMBUK2 Especial Stash weatherproof messenger bag. To attempt. I loved the light green interior that allowed me to see what I had in my bag, but some of that green was obscured by the black organizers - so maybe it was a little blurry in that regard. so the pocket narrowed in depth from top to bottom. This made it difficult for the bag to sit well on surfaces without being supported by something solid/significant. I didn't like that the carry strap seems to be designed to ONLY CORD the bag. I was unable to position the strap and padding to use the bag as a crossbody/messenger bag. I liked the lack of externally accessible storage (only one pocket), the difficulty of using some to keep other items in the pocket, and it took me a long time to get used to the snap closures. The bag appeared to be quite durable and waterproof, although I didn't test this and the bag didn't last very long. I returned this item to try the Vanquest Envoy 17 (4th Gen) messenger bag - and this bag seems better suited to my use. Reluctance of 1 star due to lack of description as "belt only"; for black organizers (instead of light gray, for example); seemingly ill-conceived pockets (under the valve); and the lack of externally accessible storage (although that's understandable given the water resistance).
