After reading all the reviews I was reluctant to buy but did it anyway. That's exactly what you would expect. Chipboard with beautiful laminate. It took 1 hour to assemble with the help of my 8 year old son. It came out great. Who is in trouble, slower. Its chipboard does not forgive any mistakes. Be specific and only tighten as much as possible. Directions were good. I've gone back and cross-referenced a few points, but a little common sense goes a long way. The weak point is the tip. The leather upper is a bit thinner than I would like, but for the price I really can't complain. Worst case, have a local glass company make you a glass cover. Still good value for money even if you go that far. The connector covers were a bonus feature. Looks like one piece when in use. Generally a good product for your money.
