Good accent lights, but do not tolerate surges.

These are very nice warm accents for any home. I have several "nooks and crannies" in my house that are well lit at night. Keep in mind that they are not intended for general lighting. Accent lighting only. In the late evening, when all the other lamps are out, it is very pleasant to see the flickering warm light of a candle. For that I recommend them. But a few cons before you decide. First, they are a bit expensive. Second, they take up the entire outlet. And the third is the real highlight for me. I ordered 4 of these for home. They replaced the cheap white LED night lights I bought at the dollar store. The ones I moved to the bathrooms. We had a massive thunderstorm and ALL the new LED candles burned out. It's useless now. What turns me on is that the cheap dollar stores I have have been ok. So I paid $50 and now I have to go back to cheap flashlights. I love the look of these candles so much but can't justify reordering them just for them to fail again in the next storm.
