I bought this item for a group quilting project. Some people in this group have never worked on a paper project. The instructions given were to use a short stitch length and leave the paper in the design until all the blocks were sewn together. At the time I thought these paper bases would be easy to remove as they are light to the touch and easy to see through. This was not the case. This paper was not easy to remove. Although a shorter stitch length was used, some stitches came loose from the seams and required manual correction. Some blocks had to be renewed. When we redesigned these blocks we used computer paper which worked like a charm and was very easy to remove.
