Review on ๐ŸŽถ JENSEN JTA-220 3-Speed Turntable: AM/FM Receiver & Stereo Speakers Combo for Immersive Audio Experience by Alan Singh

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Former vinyl addict relapsed! (Thanks Jensen.)

The JENSEN JTA-220 is a very compact turntable, perfect for vocals. The amplifier distorts the sound at maximum volume, but the average level is enough to fill the room with clean sound. When hooked up to a good stereo receiver via external speaker terminals, this unit works amazingly well. You just won't believe it! Cons: The radio is just about adequate, but that's a minor issue for this reviewer. The dust cover has a spring counterweight on only one hinge and is held in place by two plastic pins that are not on all ends. in the designated slots. Therefore, you need to be careful with the lid to avoid tearing it off completely. Pros: Precise platter speed, no rumble, no wow or flutter. No vibration will be picked up if you approach this unit while a record is playing. Adapter 45 is included in the scope of delivery. easily accessible storage space on the player. Sturdy tonearm that releases the record when you manually move it back to the armrest. bought five directly from JENSEN. Excellent channel separation is achieved in the headphones when connected to a player. Bass and treble are not as noticeable as the mids. This may have been done to maximize the performance of the internal speaker. Think of a graphic equalizer as a lazy upside down U; This is the effect you get on the phone. External speakers are attached to spring terminals by bare wires. They probably play better than small internal devices. As mentioned above I stripped one end of a stereo patch cord and plugged it into the external speaker jacks and then hooked it up to a decent shelving system. It displays great sound quality, rich bass and respectable highs, and Jensen's midrange bulge is kept to a minimum with the EQ. The JENSEN JTA-220 is a fun car, even with its small caveats, and I'm glad I bought it.
