Fine cups for drinking and brewing, far from perfect

I now proudly own two Aladdin Perfect Cups, 12oz mugs. I mean I'm beyond happy. In the office I used tea bags to brew tea and Bodun basically made coffee presses to brew coffee. The tea maker makes you a lot better, and given user error, it's better to do both in this mug. I love a good trick and this one comes close to the advertised perfection. In a build, you put fresh coffee grounds or fresh tea leaves in a small mesh cup tucked away in the lid. You pour hot water into a double-walled, BPA-free plastic container. There is a lever that lowers the cup into the water and allows you to start brewing. You move the lever with the desired force and the cup retracts into the lid and rises above the water level. The lid doubles as a drinking cup for on the go, a lid. The assembly is designed to make cleaning easier, but it can be difficult to fully drain the strainer cup and fully clean the entire assembly. I have used the dishwasher with no ill effects. Oddly enough, I'm a better tea maker than coffee, and I still prefer this device for my office tea party. There is no device related reason but so far I am not getting the best tea from this Perfect Tea Infuser. I think part is that the small brew cup only holds a tablespoon of fresh ground. This is too much for tea and with the smaller amount of tea it is possible that the remaining coffee grounds will not further flavor the coffee to the same extent as drips from the same brewer with tea in comparison. .Good: The lid has a screw connection to the cup. This is a huge deal for me as I've had to give up 6-8 caps on lidded cups. The latches on the lids can lose their latch and they can leak. The screw connection is more secure, should last longer and become less likely to loosen as the cup ages. Simplicity and intuitiveness in use. You control your results. You can use any fresh ground/tea leaves. , or cold drinks Keeps drink hot enough for me long enough. Your experience may be different. Could be better: The spout's snap-on lid is difficult to open and often requires both hands. (while driving?) Once opened, the snap-on lid doesn't snap into place in any way. It claps and the index finger can get wet. The lid of the mesh cup closes with a simple friction lock. This latch will fail over time. Forget your coffee/tea is still brewing, you may end up with a very strong drink. Small note: Revain's offer was cheaper than the big chain stores where I bought my first one. This vendor only had one color choice.
