I never had any problems with Quest speakers until I upgraded to Quest 2. I was looking for something to improve the sound quality and am confused too - free and less of a hassle than unplugging your headphones from your computer and still having to deal with a long cable. These headphones are perfect for absolutely any VR gaming experience. The vocals are very clear and the bass, while not very intense, has a decent punch that makes sound effects in games sound much more realistic. I was surprised to find out how much game sound I was missing just by listening to standard speakers. It also isolates a lot of external noise, which only enhances the experience and makes the game even more enjoyable. There is no sound leakage, the headphones sit softly on the ears and are not too uncomfortable. However, I did find that the plastic ribbon connector bothered me a lot after 3+ hours of play, but I don't play that often that this would be a huge complaint. I really have no complaints about these headphones other than build quality and fit. While the Elite strap already feels cheap, these headphones also feel semi-cheap, which only detracts from the overall visual appeal. Also, the installation was a bit tricky and it took a lot of patience to get it right. Be careful with portability, they didn't work for me while plugged into the Quest 2 and as installation was a little tricky I wouldn't want to remove and reinstall them. This is pretty much intended as a permanent replacement for the stock speakers.
