I bought this mirror to fit my Tesla Model S. Anyone who's driven a first-generation Model S knows that the rearview mirror is awfully small. This allows me to see the entire rear window and check blind spots by leaning left and right a little. As a bonus, I can also babysit my two daughters in the back seat. The convex nature of this mirror gives such a large field of view. However, the image is distorted, making it difficult to tell exactly how far away something is. At the same time, the picture is very clear, there is no ripple. After becoming familiar with the image, my wife and I were able to use it effectively. Because it obscures the original mirror and its ability to dim, I was concerned about the glare from cars behind me. It wasn't a problem at all. The mirror's curvature "shrinks" everything, including glare from vehicles behind you at night. If you want to see your little ones from behind, I recommend this bulging variant.
