Review on 🐱 Natural Wood Cat Litter for Long Hair Breeds by okocat by Cheryl Guzman

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Best litter available today: very low dust, no odor*, very little residue

I recently adopted a medium haired kitten and have tried different types of litter (scooped clay, corn and wood pellets). ) to find one that didn't smell perfumed and didn't produce a lot of dust as the clay filler was causing allergies and sneezing in my family and our new kitty. This is the best filler I have found. Because the pellets are large, they don't create a fine cloud of dust when blown up, which is better for our lungs, and the wood fiber they're made of is odorless. Also, only a couple of large pellets are accidentally thrown out of the box, which are easy to pick up, and we don't walk on a sandy bottom and encounter junk being tracked around the house. Eww. We have the box in the bathroom and it doesn't smell like urine at all. Urine causes the granules to swell and stick together into a mass that can be easily removed if you scoop it out every day. If you wait too long, the wet mass can fall apart and it takes a bit more strength to pick it up. Fresh solids smell because they smell like poop and the pellets don't cover them either, but if you pick them up right away that's fine. I'm still looking for a good scoop that will easily pass larger granules. Right now I have to kind of sift them and shake them from side to side to not waste the pellets when I pick up the box.
