Use these when upgrading a 15 year old setup to HDMI. Since 3-component coax cables already existed, we went with one and the connection was easy. Connect the transmitter to the Denon AVR's HDMI monitor output, the receiver to the Samsung Plasma and switch on the device. It took a few minutes for the HDMI swap to stabilize and then voila, 1080p on the display. I run everything through the AVR: Roku, Apple TV, satellite, etc., so I can't verify that ARC is working properly. This setup fits my needs perfectly and has saved me the headache of running 50ft of HDMI cables through an impossible maze.
