I've never had a problem with pull rods in my life...until last year. The one I bought for my bathroom curtain just kept falling down. I bought it a year ago and it ended up staying in place with nothing hanging from it and then it started falling off again several times a day. I considered swapping out the rod but the white color options were thin and the reviews weren't promising... and I saw those gold plated pics in a positive rod review so I decided to buy them. My main interest was keeping the rod I had already bought. Glue was my secondary interest. Since I live in a rented apartment I try to limit the holes in the wall so I figured this would be perfect. But the glue is not sticky! I've been trying for a long time, for example, to press command hook to hold him, but he just couldn't even do it. Less than 1 star. So I got permission to screw it to the wall, but I have to buy all the hardware again. The fixings are supplied with 4 screws and 4 plastic dowels. Wall anchors will not work as the wall is plastered over drywall (veneer). Minus 1 star. Can't confirm longevity as I have yet to get some new hardware, but I think once screwed into the wall it should hold up. The ends of the rod fit snugly into the mount's socket, so I'm very hopeful.
