I just replaced my first NotoCity strap - it finally broke after a year of regular use. The one I bought for a family member didn't tear, but stretched so much that the device didn't fit in his pocket. This band is softer and slightly larger than similar elastic bands from other brands, so it's comfortable. on a small adult wrist. Of course I wish it was more durable, but I've taken it off and on almost once a day and I'd say it was my money's worth. We're now stocking up on a few additions for next year.
