I heard about these magnetic building blocks but the price is a bit high so I did some research before buying the set. After reading over 1,000 product reviews I settled on Playmags as everyone agrees that they are the best made and best priced of the three competing brands. I am not disappointed! That's great! My kids are Lego experts so it takes a long time for the set to impress them but they just blew their minds. All the different shapes make it one where we can build at angles that aren't possible with traditional building blocks. And since they're magnetic, they hold their shape, allowing us to build slopes that have entertained us for hours since opening the box. It's amazing to see my 3.5 year old twins calculating geometry right in front of me, but that's exactly what happens when they put octagons, cubes and cones together. With their help, I was able to teach them more geometric design concepts than any other educational tool I've purchased. I thought my husband would complain about the price but I can't keep him off these blocks either! He spends his evenings in my boys room building castles and chatting with them about all the different shapes they create. These blocks serve as real family fun and in this era of iPad/tablet obsession it's so nice to be able to chat with the whole family and use something that doesn't require a cord. You are worth every penny.
