My picky older dog hates any healthy food - and if you even look at this freeze-dried food you're probably in the super-healthy food market, and this is it definitive . But if the dog doesn't eat it, then what's the use. Even the few foods my dog likes stop liking after a few feedings. She likes this. Her ears are pricked, she is very excited and will eat the whole bowl at once, which is a real rarity for her. I heat about 1/2 cup of water in the microwave and add it to the food before giving it to her. The consistency of the food is very soft, so no problem, but it's expensive! My dog has no weight problems. When you mix it with water, it expands a bit without losing or gaining weight. Much easier to feed than canned food, with less waste and a lot less smelly odors. So far we have a winner!
