Best Ultralight Burner Design

This burner takes up a little more space than some of the burners which are more stacked and have a more central flame. However, it's not much bigger or heavier. What I like compared to the smaller ones is that the flame is more like a regular burner on a stove, so using a saucepan is much better than just boiling water. My wife bought one of the smaller ones and we used each to cook up some stir fry steaks on a primitive camping trip. In comparison, the smaller one didn't hold the pan as well and didn't distribute heat as well as the flame condensed in the center. Mine worked just as well for boiling water with an included camping kit, so there's really no advantage over smaller ones. In conclusion, I would say that this is the best style for ultralight torches. Especially if you want to cook more traditional dishes with it and not just boil water, which it is good at.
