Overall this is a great buy for a small hidden device. At first I was concerned that the light would be on all the time while connected to the network, but during the initial setup I found that you can toggle the light on and off from your app on your phone. Installation is easy - I will say however that the instruction manual that comes with it - fits in the box it comes in which means it's very small if you have vision problems! I had to put on glasses and turn on the light to read/see the text and pictures explaining the device and app. However, this is carefully - only printed on a small scale. At first it was difficult to keep track of the spread. I suggest you read the entire instruction page first to understand how to get started with the setup. (There are sequential steps, but they jump around depending on the function you need, and the steps are instructions - assuming YOU READ THE WHOLE FIRST). So read it carefully and then proceed with the setup. They provide a QR code in the instructions that plays a video to show you this step as well. This is very useful for people who can be more visual. It takes patience to 1) download 2) find and adjust camera settings in the app. Says to wait a few minutes - be patient and wait. READING ALL INSTRUCTIONS before assembly will save you the confusion and frustration of being unfamiliar with the technical assembly. After setting up the camera settings (network/notifications/night mode/motion sensor, etc.) and microSD (not included), testing the camera was easy. The picture looks good for a tiny camera in a plug! We are talking about the quality of old cell phones with cameras. I can clearly see the image the camera is pointing at. Motion detection has 3 settings (low / medium / high) - this is the detection sensitivity. I originally set it to HIGH - and got push notifications every time I moved a little! So I reduced it to medium. I got it to look after my dog while I was away, and also to do home renovations from an outside contractor. I am happy with the choice!
