This is a beautiful necklace in a neutral color - not ivory but not quite beige either, I think it should be taupe. It consists of many rectangular tubular beads that reflect the light here and there along the length of the chain. The many threads that make up the necklace are arranged in a circular braid nearly an inch in diameter. In fact, it's more of a weave than a weave. The chain looks and feels solid but isn't as heavy as it seems. It measures just over 17 inches long not counting the extension. The chain is a bit larger than I prefer for something like a choker length but it will fit. There are a few odd shaped beads and some of them can be a bit scratchy so I might have to tuck them into the curve but for the most part the necklace is comfortable. The hardware looks well made (the necklace I received shows no signs of tarnishing), but only so-so quality, and while the lobster clasp is large and easy to use, so is the ring that supports the clasp and ring , to which the clasp is attached, weak , and also have gaps that need to be closed with small pliers. goes with a lot of things in my wardrobe i think the price is reasonable i deducted 1 star because of a problem with the fittings.
